STS Name

Each STS name begins with the prefix "sWSS" followed by a unique number.

Alias

Name of a relevant alias (if one exists), such as the name of the corresponding genetic marker or gene/EST.

Source of the sequence from which the STS was derived:

Alu-PCR Product	Alu-PCR product generated from chromosome 7 DNA
EST	Expressed-sequence tag
Flow Sorted DNA	Clone derived from flow-sorted chromosome 7 DNA
Gene	Known gene
Genetic Marker	Short tandem repeat polymorphism
Lambda Clone	Chromosome 7-specific lambda clone

STS Accession

Accession number corresponding to entries in the STS division of GenBank (dbSTS).

GDB Accession

Accession number corresponding to amplimer record for that STS.

GDB Cross-Reference

Relevant accession number for a genomic segment (e.g., an amplimer, clone, or gene) that overlaps the STS.
